Das Video reiht sich nahtlos hinter andere Glanzstücke der Microsoft Werbegeschichte, wie z.B. Steve Ballmer Sells Windows 1.0 oder Microsoft Songsmith.

Obige Mail habe ich heute von einem vermeintlichen Spammer bekommen. Der Email Spider beschreibt sich in seiner Produktbeschreibung wie folgt:
Collect and extract emails, phone and fax numbers from the websites around the world using the keywords you enter for! [...]
It is also possible to send an email to your new customers within the program automatically making it the ultimate tool for online marketing and mass mailing (but should not be used to spam).
Es sollte nicht zum Spammen genutzt werden – wird es aber ganz offensichtlich. Vereint ja auch die perfekten Spammertools in einem Programm. Jetzt sollte der Email Spider Nutzer nur noch den Default Text ersetzen, dann klappts auch mit dem Rumgespamme …
Diagnose Format C:
Kennt ihr das auch? Man lernt jemanden kennen und sobald derjenige mitbekommt, dass man als Administrator arbeitet, befragt er einen auch schon nach irgendwelchen bescheuerten Windowsproblemen…
Zuletzt durfte ich mir auch mal anhören, dass ich ja noch sehr viel zu lernen habe, weil ich das Tastenkürzel für “linksbündig” in Word nicht kenne – und das von jemandem, der es nach mehreren Stunden probieren nichtmal über das Symbol geschafft hat… *seufz*
Meine Diagnose ab sofort lautet “Format C:” !

Linux ist gefährlich für Kinder!
So denkt eine amerikanische Lehrerin aus dem Staate Texas. Sie fand Linux Live CDs bei einem Schüler und konfiszierte selbige. Danach schrieb sie einen Brief an den Entwickler der Linux Distribution:
After confiscating the disks I called a confrence with the student and that is how I came to discover you and your organization. Mr. Starks, I am sure you strongly believe in what you are doing but I cannot either support your efforts or allow them to happen in my classroom. At this point, I am not sure what you are doing is legal. No software is free and spreading that misconception is harmful. These children look up to adults for guidance and discipline. I will research this as time allows and I want to assure you, if you are doing anything illegal, I will pursue charges as the law allows. Mr. Starks, I along with many others tried Linux during college and I assure you, the claims you make are grossly over-stated and hinge on falsehoods. I admire your attempts in getting computers in the hands of disadvantaged people but putting linux on these machines is holding our kids back.
This is a world where Windows runs on virtually every computer and putting on a carnival show for an operating system is not helping these children at all. I am sure if you contacted Microsoft, they would be more than happy to supply you with copies of an older verison of Windows and that way, your computers would actually be of service to those receiving them
Microsoft gut, Linux böse – ganz einfach. Was für eine ignorante und stark beschränkte Weltanschauung! Sind solche Lehrer nicht weitaus gefährlicher für selbige Kinder?
Achja, eine Antwort des Entwicklers ließ nicht lange auf sich warten.
Linux ist schlampig programmiert!
Neulich bei der Kundenhotline von Alice:
Störungsstelle: Welches Betriebssystem verwenden Sie?
Betroffener: Das hat damit überhaupt nichts zu tun. Bitte schauen Sie sich das letzte Ticket an und verbinden Sie mich mit einem Techniker.
Störungsstelle: Sie sind zur Mitarbeit verpflichtet. Bitte beantworten Sie meine Fragen oder ich beende das Gespräch.
Betroffener: Linux.
Störungsstelle: Dann haben wir den Fehler doch schon gefunden.
Betroffener: Wieso? Ich kann Ihnen nicht folgen!
Störungsstelle: Linux ist sehr schlampig programmiert und nicht Internet-kompatibel. Das ist auch der Grund für Ihre Verbindungsabbrüche. Da wird Ihnen auf Dauer auch kein Techniker weiterhelfen können. Am besten Sie installieren Windows XP oder Vista um einen Internet-kompabiles System zu haben. Dann wird man Ihnen auch weiterhelfen können.
Na aber klar doch! Wieso bin ich da nicht selbst draufgekommen: Linux ist nicht Internet-kompatibel! Runter damit -> Windows XP oder Vista drauf.
